प्रश्नपत्रिका २०० गुणांची असून, प्रश्नांचे स्वरुप वस्तुनिष्ठ ( ऑब्जेक्टिव्ह ) असेल . रीझनिंग ( 50 ), इंग्रजी (40 ), क्वांटिटेटिव्ह अॅप्टिट्यूड 
( 50), सामान्य ज्ञान ( विशेषतः बँकिंग संदर्भात ) ( 40 ), 
संगणक ज्ञान ( 20) अशी विषयवार गुणांची विभागणी आहे . 
परीक्षेचा कालावधी २ तासांचा आहे. लेखी परीक्षेत यशस्वी झालेल्या उमेदवारांना मुलाखतीसाठी बोलावले जाईल. मुलाखतीसाठी १०० गुण असून, त्यामध्ये किमान 40 गुण ( राखीव वर्गासाठी 35 गुण ) मिळवणे आवश्यक आहे. 
उमेदवारांची निवड करताना लेखी परीक्षेतील गुणांना 80 टक्के वेटेज असेल, तर मुलाखतीतील गुणांना 20 टक्के वेटेज असेल. लेखी परीक्षा व मुलाखतीतील एकत्रित गुणांनुसार आय. बी. पी. एस. उमेदवारांची निवड करेल.
